mmhmm

I’ve concluded that the mall is a great place. Seriously folks, it’s awesome. Today I was there with a friend, and we went into TIS which is the store with all the apparel for the college in town. Lo and behold, guess what kind of people were in there? College students of course! What kind of college students you ask? GIRLS! Good looking girls at that! I’d even venture to say that they were hot! Yeah, and I’d even almost wanna say one of them was checking me out…..but I’m not too sure about that one. At least I smiled at her. I’ve found myself doing that a lot more - smiling and making eye contact with girls. I can’t believe I’m posting this on a public blog, but yet in another way I can believe I am. I’ve been feeling more…extroverted? I mean, extroverts go to a social event and return energized, and introverts return all tired and stuff, which is how I return - tired. So I guess I’m just being more comfortable with myself and not caring what others think, although I don’t know how that goes along with smiling. I found all of this happening (smiling, eye contact, being checked out) after I decided to grow my hair out…..could that be the source of my “problem”?

i am so

I am soooo tired, or maybe it’s just that I can’t see because my contacts are making everything so blurry. Blah. So anyway….I’m not really sure. The song I’m listening to is good. Was yesterday (Friday the 19th) a slow day on modblog, or was it just me? It seemed like all the top 50 people had low hits, like in the 60s. Perhaps I’ll post something of value later in the day, or maybe I should just copy an entry from my other site. I think I’ll do that…..this one’s off of the unaccessable skilar.com

Earlier this month, I was hanging out with some of my friends and we got into the discussion about labels. You know - punk, goth, prep, etc. The girl that started the discussion (lets call her Steph) had said that she wore studded bracelets to school one day, and a guy in her class asked her if she was punk. Steph went off on the guy for saying this because she want to be considered punk. She wanted to be her. I totally agree with her on this point - people should be themselves, not some pre-processed piece of mainstream junk. After she finished her story, I told her that I agreed. Later on that night, one of my other friends pointed out that I had a stud belt on and that it wasn’t too computer-geekish, and then Steph said “Does he look like a computer geek?” Yes. It was obvious to me then, so I said: “What are you calling me, punk?” If what just happened isn’t obvious to you, I’ll explain: a kid at her school called her punk for having STUD bracelets. I was wearing a STUD belt, and althought she didn’t directly call me punk, she implied it. Seeing as she was just complaining about how she didn’t want to be labeled, her saying this made me very, very, very angry. I chuckled after what I said, but I still meant it. She was doing the exact same thing that she had just said she didn’t like. People, don’t do what you say not to - it ticks others off.

And then I have to finish my paper. Thankfully, I had today and yesterday off of school to do whatever I wanted. Which was my paper. I need to go do something productive……

Well….I think we all know what today is. The day of the release of RELIENT K’S 4th studio album! Oh yeah, it’s also election day. Not to try to diminish the importance of the day or anything, I just think that everyone knew the obvious and I shouldn’t state it. That’s my new motto, “Never state the obvious”. It’s kinda funny when the obvious is stated though, but it wouldn’t have been here, on the internet. As of now, it appears that….ok I’m not gonna say who I think is gonna win…..too jinxy. So far the Relient K cd is good, though! I HIGHLY recommend it, seeing as it’s probably the best stuff put out by Relient K - EVER. But, if you’re a new K fan…buy the cds in this order: Relient K, Anatomy of the Tongue in Cheek, Two Lefts Don’t Make A Right But Three Do, mmhmm. Although that is the order they were released in, I also think that it’s the order of awesomness. So yeah….I’ll go listen…some more.
